A Foundation Built on Excellence

Sharifa earned her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2016. With nearly a decade of experience in women’s health, she has worked at Planned Parenthood and Shady Grove Fertility, caring for women through all stages of their reproductive journey. Her areas of interest include reproductive and sexual health, contraceptive counseling and management, menstrual disorders, preconception counseling, perimenopause and menopause management, and STI testing, prevention, and treatment.
Sharifa began her nursing career in the NICU but was drawn to provide care from a broader community perspective, leading her to focus on women’s health. Originally from the Caribbean island of Antigua, she brings compassion and a holistic approach to every patient encounter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling to new places.
